Now India will also become a smartphone export hub, creating 12 crore jobs

            The Government of India [GOI] is making continuous efforts to make the country a manufacturing hub and its positive impact is being seen. Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ravishankar Prasad has announced that 22 companies from around the world have applied under the Production Linked Incentive Scheme. Due to which 12 crore jobs will be created. Prasad further said that these companies will manufacture 11.5 lakh crore mobile phones and components over the next five years. Out of which 7 lakh products will be exported. He also said that these companies will provide employment directly to three lakh and about seven lakh indirectly.


Looking at the investment data, Apple's second largest contract maker Pegatron, Samsung, Lava and electronic companies like Samsung and Dixon have proposed to manufacture mobile devices and their components in India. These companies have promised a massive investment of Rs 11,000 crore in the near future. The scheme is worth a total of Rs 41,000 crore.

    According to these proposals, Rs. It will produce mobile handsets worth less than Rs 15,000 crore. Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday said that international mobile phone manufacturers have sent applications for production in 15000 and more segments. Among them is Apple's contract product for the iPhone, Foxconn, Wistron and Pregatron.
